Artist's Description
"A Time of Gold, Golden Aster" is an original oil painting capturing the amazing wildflowers of Yellowstone National Park. This painting is done in the impasto style, giving it a 3D texture to draw you in for a closer look.
From May to August, the wildflowers in Yellowstone draw people in from all over the world. One of my favorite times of year is the July Golden Aster bloom up on the Dunraven Pass, where yellow flowers literally blanket the mountain sides for everyone to enjoy.
30x40" Oil Painting on professional 1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas.
About Elizabeth Mordensky
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on. From paintings to paper-cuttings, I can't get enough of trying to capture mother nature's world through art of my own.
