"California Storms" is a 14'x17' original acrylic painting of one of the many humbling experiences you encounter while living outside. This storm was racing towards us while we hiked through the Trinity Alps on the Pacific Crest Trail, and only a few minutes later we were completely drenched and surrounded by thunder and lightening.
About Elizabeth Mordensky
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on. From paintings to paper-cuttings, I can't get enough of trying to capture mother nature's world through art of my own.
