Joshua trees create an incredible sight as they reach up towards the desert sky. In a land where all other plants are low to the ground, these giants beat the odds in the hot dry landscape of the Mojave Desert.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on.
