This painting is of the beautiful Rae Lakes. This stunning spot in Kings Canyon is part of the PCT and JMT. When we walked through here, rain was in the air, but that only made the landscape more dramatic and the sky more stunning.
This is a 35"x17" acrylic painting on hardboard and framed in a wooden float frame.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on.
