This is an original painting of the southern California desert. The view stretches across the desert valleys and mountains, with blooming Agave plants in the foreground. Their enormous stalks reach for the sky, often reaching 12 or more feet high. The painting is of a photograph I took along the Pacific Crest Trail.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on.
