Recovery and Time is a print of an original painting by me, Elizabeth "Etch" Mordensky. The image is one that I painted from a photograph I took along the Pacific Crest Trail during my thru-hike in 2015. The striking colors of red and green stood out against the grey sky and burned forest, emphasizing the renewal of life after a seemingly devastating burn.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, though many of my friends know me as EtchASketch, a trail name I earned while hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2013. I have been hiking for about as long as I can remember, and creating art for even longer than that. Naturally these two loves overlap, and while my trail name was given to me for simple, fun sketches in trail journals along the 2100+ mile trek, at home I love bringing nature to life through any artistic means I can get my hands on. From paintings to paper-cuttings, I can't get enough of trying to capture mother nature's world through art of my own.
